Jonathan Frank Tippy
Born on Friday March 3rd, 2006 at 2:51 am.
Weighing in at a whopping 5 lbs 5 oz, measuring 19 inches long.
Mom and baby are home and all is well :-). For any who may have heard about the problems he was experiencing, please know that everything has been resolved. He was just perfect at birth and he nursed beautifully for me and stayed with us for quite a while.
Later on in the nursery he was unresponsive and found to be oxygenating poorly. As a result, he was on oxygen for 24 hours and antibiotics for 48 hours. His blood test came back negative for infection, and then we were able to take him home on time. It was a bit worrisome at first, but the procedure was a routine one for some babies who are born a bit early. And now he is thriving!

ReplyDeleteDear Danielle and Nathan and baby Jonathon. As well as David, Debbie, Rebecca and Joshua. Congratulations to you all from back in Iowa. You are so blessed. Since seeing Grandma Pam I've been praying for you to have a healthy delivery. As parents I would like to ask you for your prayers for two other sets of parents. Well Joy and Jason you know... last week 3 out of their 4 were in the hospital with ailments ranging from RSV to strep/allergic reactions to I can't think of the bacteria that little Ambrose had. and then also a couple from work who have a little four month old little girl named Dakota Jade, this last Monday was in surgery to have a tennis ball sized cancerous tumor removed. The doctors say they have caught everything before the cancer broke out of its cell to spread and so she should be ok - but protective prayers are miraculous. Anyway, until I'm blessed w/ a child Dan and I adopted a puppy from the humane society. her name is Danika. She's a lab/beagle mix she's three months old and is cute. She is the runt of the litter and has so far had kennel cough and pneumonia and now mange - the vet says she is at the age of losing her mothers immune system and her own hasn't developed properly yet. so she's on antibiotics and vitamins. :) Anyway that's all thats new around here. Miss you guys alot. Hope all is going well for you all. Know that you're thought of often. and Congratulations again on Jonathon Frank!
